Today, Cuba finds itself and her church in unprecedented times; a new frontier with many exciting opportunities and equally daunting challenges.

The First Frontier Network was formed in response to the changing relations between the United States and Cuba, in preparation for a greater opening of Cuba, and in support of the growing and vibrant Cuban Church. The First Frontier Network serves as a convening platform, which stewards and directs the investment of North American resources, time, energy and manpower wisely to directly respond to the continuing needs of the Cuban Church. La Primera Frontera (First Frontier Network) has been created to provide consultation and leadership to catalyze the right kind of change in Cuba, without harm, confusion, and fragmentation; and to be the voice of Cuban missiology that guides ministry action towards long term and productive change for the Kingdom of God.

Development Groups

Six working groups representing the areas of the greatest ministry needs in Cuba.

Education & Higher Education

This DG is constituted by professionals and leaders in the education and higher education field, with considerable experience and specialization in Christian Education, with emphasis in Cuba. This DG includes individuals, ministries, and seminars equipping and working to improve the learning of God, His Word, and Christian ministries.

Next Generation & Children

This DG is constituted by experts and leaders working with youth and children ministries, with emphasis in Cuba. The NextGen & Children DG is focused on expanding the knowledge, experiences and practices of Cuban’s youth and children with its relationship with God and Christian life, and improving their overall well-being.

Relief & Development

This DG is constituted by experts and leaders working in the implementation of humanitarian aid and development projects in Cuba. This DG includes the provision of assistance and aid to the most vulnerable people in Cuba, and helping them to strive and develop, thus alleviating their suffering and improving their dignity and quality of life.

Seniors & Elders

This DG is constituted by experts and leaders working with seniors elderly ministries, with emphasis in Cuba. This DG knows the needs and desires of elderly in Cuba, and works to address their needs ensuring their care and welfare, seeking to meet the spiritual, physical and social needs of senior adults through fellowship, encouragement, compassion and outreach.

Church Planting

This DG is constituted by experts and leaders working in the field of evangelization and discipleship, particularly in Cuba. This DG includes initiatives and activities to reach a greater number of Cubans with the Gospel, including support to the church in its surrounding community and training and sending workers and leaders to reach Cuba to Christ.

Communication & Media

This DG is constituted by experts and leaders furthering the Kingdom of God in Cuba through the use of communications and media. This DG includes supporting the development and outreach of Christ-centered communications means and technologies, such as television, filming, radio, printing materials, and use of social media.

The First Frontier Network is laying careful groundwork, so that when Cuba’s opening is announced and regarded by the world.
